Modifieds chase big coin in Independence Modified Clash presented by Bravado Wireless

While the Lucas Oil MLRA and MARS Dirt Car Series Late Models headline the 4th Annual Freedom Classic presented by Buddy's Home Furnishings, the Modifieds have plenty to look forward to on Independence Day Weekend and the days that follow.

Bravado Wireless originally sponsored the Modified Challenge scheduled during the World of Outlaws Late Model show in April that was postponed due to weather. While that was an unfortunate occurrence, officials at Salina Highbanks Speedway and the fine folks at Bravado Wireless saw the opportunity in the postponement by tying the Modified mega-race to one of the most successful events at the facility, the Freedom Classic, and more.

The money sponsored for the purse of the Modified Challenge will now be used to host the opening night of the "Independence Modified Clash" on Saturday, July 1st, and the event will pay $2,500 to win, $200 to start with an entry fee of $40. What's more, the first 60 drivers will have their entry fee covered by Bravado Wireless. This will be the first of three events that award a lucrative point fund of $5,000 with a winner's share of $1,000. B-Mods will also receive a point fund of $2,500 with the winner claiming $500.

The second night of the "Independence Modified Clash" will be held at Thunderbird Speedway on Friday, July 7th where drivers will race for a $2,000 top prize and $200 to start. Then action returns to Salina Highbanks Speedway on Saturday, July 8th for a $1,500 to win, $100 to start event that will decide the points of the "Independence Modified Clash."

Prior to kicking off the "Independence Modified Clash" the Salina Highbanks Speedway will be hosting "The Bash Before The Clash" on Friday, June 30th, night one of the Freedom Classic. This event will be $1,500 to win, $100 to start, but will not be included in drivers' official tallies for the point fund.
