Format revealed for OCRS Ameri-Flex Challenge II presented by Grand National Trailer
By John Lemon, OCRS Public Relations (Tulsa, OK) - Officials with the Ameri-Flex / OCRS sprint car series have signed off on the racing format for the Ameri-Flex Challenge II presented by Grand National Trailer. The $3,000 to win & $1,000 to start race will take place on the 26th of this month at the Salina Highbanks Speedway. The format for the teams that have qualified for the event are as follows:
Drivers will draw for their heat race positions.
Normal passing point format will apply for the heat races.
Heat Races will be 8 laps each.
Qualifying races will be ran next.
Starting line up will be fully inverted from points earned in heat races.
Passing point system will apply in the qualifiers.
Qualifiers will be 6-Laps each.
A-Feature line up is straight up on total points earned from heats and qualifiers.
Driver with highest points draws one of three numbers. Numbers are 2, 3 or 4.
A-Feature line up will invert based on number drawn.
Example, if the number 3 is drawn, the first 3 rows from the line up will be inverted.
A-Feature will be 25 laps.
NOTE: This will be an official points race for the 2017 racing season.
(no points from qualifiers will apply towards point standings)
Contingency Awards:
There are several contingency awards available for this event. They are as follows:
Maxim Racing: Two $250 Certificates
Smiley's Racing Products: Five $100 Gift Cards
Schoenfeld Headers: Five $100 Certificates
Amsoil: Ten $50 Certificates
Rod End Supply: Five $25 Certificates
Drivers will draw for their certificates at the conclusion of the event.
