TULSA, Okla. (August 23, 2017) With turns that are nearly two stories tall, the Salina Highbanks Speedway in on tap for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products on Saturday, August 26 for the season’s only appearance.

The last time the Red River Region graced the clay of the Salina Highbanks Speedway was June 6, 2015 with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, in which Blake Hahn captured his first National Tour triumph.

Along with the $2,000 to win, $300 to start ASCS Red River Region, the night will also feature OCRS and Vintage Sprints for an all open wheel showdown dubbed the Oklahoma Open Wheel Thunder Nationals. This presents an opportunity for several drivers to pull double-duty such as series point’s leader, Alex Sewell, and Fred Mattox just to name a few.

Nine winners in 12 A-Features this season, Sewell added his lone win on the season at Heartland Park Topeka on June 23. Leading over cousin, Jared Sewell, by 164 points, the pair are chased by John Carney II with Fred Mattox and Kade Morton making up the top-five in tour standings.

Saturday, August 26 will open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps getting underway at 6:30 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults with discounts for Kids and Seniors. Salina Highbanks Speedway is located off Hwy. 20 between Salina and Pryor, Okla. For more information, http://www.salinahighbanksspeedway.com or call (918) 434-7223.
